The Boston Tea Party was a political and mercantile protest by The Sons of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts on December 16, 1773. Considered by many historians to be the start of the American Revolution, it was an event with huge consequences for Britain and the Colonies.
250th Anniversary Boston Tea Party celebrations are being held across our country, culminating in a full-scale reenactment in Boston on December 16, 2023.
The Friends of South Shore Health education program will lead you into the fun with two historians from the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. You’ll relive the story through their eyes, with images and tales gleaned from years of research. What a perfect way to reconnect with Massachusetts’ historically unique role in the birth of our nation! Great for all ages!
