The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum and Revolution 250 will partner with The City of Paris, and the Rochambeau Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to place a commemorative marker at the grave of James Swan, recognizing him as a participant in the event known as the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 1773.
The ceremony will take place on Friday September 29, 2023 at 10:30 am and will take place at:
Père Lachaise Cemetery
16 rue du Repos
75020 Paris, France
The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30 am at the site of James Swan’s
grave. There is no stone marking the area, but the grave is located at the corner
of section 41 on the Chemin des Anglais, maps to the site will be available at
the gate.
