Be a part of history! Help make December 16th a recognized national holiday by sponsoring the 250th anniversary reenactment of the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 2023.

Our goal is to make December 16th a nationally recognized holiday.

We firmly believe that the Boston Tea Party was the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution. The date of December 16th should be observed as a national holiday for the sacrifices that were made on that fateful night in 1773. These men willingly committed treason, punishable by death, to fight for their liberties. The “destruction of the tea” led to the creation of a new nation. We hope that through the production of the Annual Reenactment and further education of the events of December 16, 1773, this goal will become a reality. As the success of the Boston Tea Party depended upon the participation of the Patriots, so too will the establishment of December 16th as a national holiday depend on you.

 

 

THE LOYAL NINE SPONSORS
Commitment: $50,000.00

The “Loyal Nine” were the nine colonial patriots from Boston who met in secret to plan protests against the Stamp Act.

The First Corps of Cadets is the oldest military unit in continuous existence in the United States and took an active part in the War for Independence under the Command of John Hancock.

The “Sons of Liberty” was a loosely organized clandestine political organization founded to advance the rights of colonists to fight taxation by the British government.

The “Body of the People” made up of over 5,000 people who attended the meeting at the Old South Meeting House on December 16th, 1773 before the “destruction of the tea”.
